Shaw Go WiFi Services Welcomed at Civic Facilities

ABBOTSFORD, BC – January 8, 2016: The City of Abbotsford, in partnership with Shaw Communications Inc. is providing its Shaw Go WiFi services for free at all city facilities, announced Mayor Henry Braun today.

The agreement with the City of Abbotsford and Shaw brings additional WiFi access to Shaw subscribers, while giving free guest access to all residents and visitors with a WiFi enabled device.

“We are very pleased to be working with Shaw to provide this service to our residents and visitors,” said Mayor Henry Braun. “The addition of WiFi services to our City facilities enables us to stay connected which is an integral component to becoming a complete community.”

The installation of Shaw Go WiFi Services at City facilities began in the fall of 2015, with installation expected to continue into early 2016.

  • Matsqui Recreation Centre (MRC)
  • City Hall
  • MSA Arena
  • Abbotsford Centre
  • Visitors Centre
  • The Reach Gallery Museum
