July 17, 2012
Calgary, Alberta (July 17, 2012) — Shaw Communications continues to work with its customers and tenants to fully restore services following last week’s explosion and fire at Shaw Court.
“We know many people have been affected by this incident in different ways, and we are sorry for the impact caused,” said Peter Bissonnette, President, Shaw Communications Inc. “We understand the frustration that this incident has had on our customers, tenants and many Albertans as a result of last week’s fire.”
Members of the media, customers and the general public can stay up to date on operations, customer service and other important information via updates on www.shaw.ca.
As a result of significant damage from the building’s fire suppression systems, 900 Shaw Court employees will be temporarily relocated throughout the city at Shaw’s seven other building locations. Employees will be relocated for several months during restoration efforts to allow for business continuity.
“We’ve been putting our customers first since day one, will continue to do so and we are fully open for business,” said Bissonnette. “We again thank everyone for their patience and want to ensure the community that we will work tirelessly to make this right.”
